The Department of Business Studies seeks a full-time, Professor of Practice in Accounting, beginning August 2019. This is a non-tenure tack, multi-year renewable appointment with an initial term of three years.
A Master’s degree or higher in business or related discipline from a regionally-accredited institution is required. CPA or CMA licensure preferred. We seek applicants with the ability to teach both Principles of Accounting and upper-level accounting courses, such as Auditing, Federal Income Taxes, Intermediate Accounting, and Advanced Accounting, who have experience in teaching undergraduate students, related practitioner accomplishments, and a desire to be involved in service to the department and college. Duties will include a 4/4 course load, participating in curriculum design and assessment, and advising students. Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the College as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption College.
