Prepare quarterly and annual federal income tax and non-federal tax provisions for financial statements.
Prepare annual federal income tax and non-federal tax forecast for two subsidiaries.
Prepare and file federal and state income tax returns and estimates for consolidated group. Determine taxability and treatment of items related to subsidiaries, LLC’s, etc. Calculate and record tax return true-ups and provide explanations as needed.
Respond, follow-up and communicate with all tax authorities.
Prepare premium & municipal tax returns.
Responsible for tax related balance sheet account reconciliations.
Serve as Third Party Benefits subject matter expert. Includes quarterly and annual filings and responding to notices and inquiries from taxing authorities and other departments at the Company.
Prepare information returns for Puerto Rico.
Coordinate 1099 filings for the Company including preparation of 1099-R and 1099-NEC.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience: Minimum 7 to 10 years tax experience required. Public accounting experience strongly desired.
Certifications/Licensures: CPA or Enrolled Agent required
