Work closely with the sales teams and the legal department to assess revenue for new contracts and contract amendments
Provide guidance to sales team on new arrangements
Work with billing team and guide revenue recognition
Assess contracts for proper accounting treatment under ASC 606
Assist in improving and streamlining revenue processes to scale our businesses and new revenue streams
Participate in new ERP implementation
Assist in researching accounting guidance and documenting positions on revenue transactions in cooperation with the external reporting team
Provide support for the quarterly and annual financial statement audits
Provide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
3+ years of revenue experience preferred
4+ years of relevant work experience preferred preferably within a public company environment or a large regional or Big Four accounting firm
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to details
Ability to problem solve independently
Strong analytical skills
Experience in ERP Systems preferred
Proficiency in MS Excel
Experience in reviewing sales contracts
Knowledge of revenue recognition in U.S. GAAP under ASC 606
Ability to assess and analyze ASC 606 impact on revenue for sales agreements
